AST

Details

AST is a multisensor instrument/controller realized by musician and visual artist Marco Brosolo. Marco has been developing it since 2006. The instrument has a number of different position and pressure sensors, as well as buttons and potentiometers. Inside the body (which is, at the present stage, made of wood) lies the core of the instrument, an Arduino board controlling and transmitting data from the instrument. The collaboration with Marco started in 2011. For AST, Massimo is developing the Max/MSP patches for data-to-sound translation and optimizing the pre-exisiting Arduino code.
